Fotochurch is a growing collection of photographs of UK churches, places of worship and church-related architecture and heritage. Images are primarily those of Church of England churches, although there are occasional photographs of URC, Roman Catholic, Methodist and Baptist churches and chapels. All photographs are taken by Jonathan Brennan unless otherwise stated.

Most images can be downloaded to use, "Royalty Free", for use in leaflets, publications, Websites, PowerPoints, etc or for personal printing and display, unless specifically indicated otherwise. Images cannot be used for commercial purposes without permission. Full details HERE. Southwark Cathedral, London.

It is believed there has been a church on this site since AD 606. There may well have been a church here even earlier. Southwark Cathedral is the oldest cathedral church building in London, and archaeological evidence shows there was Roman pagan worship here well before that.
